Scott Meyer caught the “tri”-bug and found a passion for running shortly after college. Growing up in Roswell, Ga, Scott began his athletic career as a top golfer, attaining a full-scholarship to Valdosta State University. After college, Scott discovered that he could fulfill his drive to compete through running and in triathlons. Scott loves endurance sports because of the focus and goal-orientation that these sports require, along with the never-ending challenges that they present. Most of all, however, he loves the people he has been blessed to meet through these sports.

Scott currently resides in Roswell, Ga, where he attends St. Brigid’s Catholic Church.   Outgoing and enthusiastic, Scott enjoys growing in Jesus by surrounding himself with strong Christians and by sharing the Word with others. Just last June, Scott was the race-director of the Just Run 5k in Roswell, which benefits Just People foundation (a non-profit specializing in developmentally disabled adults).

Scott had a strong showing in the 2010 Houston Marathon. He is a recent Boston Qualifier, but his new goal is to attain a sub 2:45 time at California International Marathon. Overall, Scott has competed in 2 marathons, 2 Half-Ironmans, and numerous races supporting local charities.

He is super-stoked to be a part of Zulu’s Racing Team.

Personal Best:

  • Half-Marathon - 1:23:20 (2009)
  • Marathon - 2:59.09 (2010)
  • Ironman Augusta Half - 5:02 (2009)
